Barbara Nunberg
Dr. Barbara Nunberg is Senior International Development Advisor at ACERTAS. Dr. Nunberg is recognized as a leading authority in the area of public management and governance with extensive operational, managerial and analytic experience in over seventy countries across the world.
Previously she directed the Public Sector Reform portfolio for the East Asia Pacific Region at the World Bank, where she held a series of senior positions over her career. While at the Bank, she pioneered the application of advanced political economy models to strategic decision making for country programming and reform conditionality. She advises and conducts applied research for governments and international organizations, such as the Inter-American Development Bank, USAID, the International Growth Centre, the Overseas Development Institute, the United Nations, the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank.
Dr. Nunberg has held academic positions at Columbia University, University of California, Berkeley, Georgetown University, Duke University, New York University and University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Nunberg earned a B.A. from Barnard College. Dr. Nunberg holds Masters degrees in Latin American Studies and in Political Science, as well as a Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University.
